Hydrick Street

Hydrick Street was developed from 1913 to 1928, built by downtown merchants and families. Unlike the modest bungalows of neighboring Carlisle Street, Hydrick Street offers larger homes and more varied architectural styles, still evident today.

The Preservation Trust began its Hydrick Street Initiative in 2008, and is focusing most of its efforts on the northern block of the street, between cross streets Beta Club Way and West Henry.  This block of Hydrick, weakened by several vacant and condemned properties, will be reenergized with new neighbors in 2009.

If seeking downtown living in a hip, historic area, look no further than Hydrick Street.
